Please join Local 378 on October 21st for OPEN ENROLLMENT at the Local 378 Union Hall! We will have Providers and Representatives from our Trust Fund onsite to assist you with any questions or matters you would like to discuss. Kaiser Permanente will be providing free flu shots, so make sure you bring your family.
Lastly, we are hosting a BLOOD DRIVE with Blood Centers of the Pacific, and would greatly appreciate your support in providing a blood donation for our community. Call the Union Hall today to schedule your appointment to become a donor!
Effective January 1, 2018, Senate Bill 54 will require the following 20-hour course to work in all refineries. This course is titled High Hazard Facility Training which includes the following three courses:
1. RSO: 8 hours
2. Craft Specific Hazards: 8 hours
3. Principals of Petroleum Refining: 4 hours
Eligible* members who contact our office to be scheduled for the RSO: 8-hour course will be required to schedule all three courses, totalling 20-hours of training. Local 378 will not schedule any portion of the training, individually.
We strongly encourage all of our members who are interested in completing the High Hazard Facility Training to contact Local 378 as soon as possible so we can assist you in obtaining the necessary training prior to the imposed deadline.
Please note: the High Hazard Facility Training is a 3-day training. Please keep this in mind when scheduling with Local 378 as the IMPACT attendance policy is still in effect.

All active Local 378 Journeymen and Apprentices are eligible to register for RSO & OSCA Site-Specific courses with Local 378 at no cost to the member, paid by IMPACT. TWIC must be prepaid and registered by the member, where a reimbursement will be provided to active members who provide a TWIC card and proof of purchase. Click here for more information.
If you have the skills and desire to become an instructor, you are invited to apply.
We are looking for qualified journeymen that have at least five years of field experience with the skills to deliver classroom instruction in safety, welding, and ironworking work processes. Other desirable traits include current CWI, teaching credentials, and safety professionals, leadership skills such as foreman and general foreman experience, and college degreed individuals.
